PTA
INTRODUCTION
Parents Teachers Association of the Govt. Polytechnic College Kaduthuruthy is guided by an executive committee of 13 members presided by the Principal of the institution, for taking important decisions on the upcoming activities planned by the PTA.
The executive committee includes 6 members from the parents’ side and 7 members from the institutional staff side. Executive committee conducts about 10 executive meetings and 2 general bodies all around a year.
In general body meeting PTA issues cash awards and medals for the top ranked students of all semester classes.
PTA gives the financial support to all the students activities like arts festivals annual sports meets, inter poly sports & games, inter poly arts festivals etc.PTA finances for all the maintenance works, other projects, and purchasing general commodities for the academic administrational needs of the institution to avoid delay caused in the official proceedings.
PTA has an exemplary intercession in executing Governmental and non-governmental projects. The audited statement of PTA in a financial year should be approved by the executive committee and the general body meeting by detailed discussions.

Aims and Objectives
Aims and objectives
1. Work for the social, cultural and educational advancement of the students and teachers.
2. To act as a forum for the free exchange of ideas among parents and teachers
3. To improve and add to the physical facilities and amenities in the Polytechnic, such as accommodation, equipment, furniture, Playground, auditorium, canteen, reading room etc.
4. To institute scholarships, award prizes, issue certificates of distinction and gave monetary assistance appropriately for the benefit of deserving Students.
5. To provide, training in sports and games to selected terms / students.
6. To organize local Educational tours.
7. To provide facilities for the development of talents of students in useful hobbies.
8. To Co-ordinate with the working f sister institutions other educational institutions in various activities.
9. To promote understanding and cooperation among parents teachers and students of the Polytechnic so as to ensure disciplined, cordial and peaceful campus life, congenial for academic work.
10. To formulate and implement specific courses of action for achieving the goals and broad objectives of the Association indicates love.
