Computer Science and Technology

The Department of Computer Science and Technology traces its roots to 1999, when it was established as the Department of Computer Hardware Engineering. In tune with the rapid growth of computing and digital technologies, the department has evolved continuously over the years. From the academic year 2026–27 onwards, the department offers the Diploma programme in Computer Science and Technology.

The department has modern laboratories and infrastructure that support quality technical education and practical training. The programme provides students with strong foundations in software and hardware technologies, including programming, networking, embedded systems, database management, web and mobile application development, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.

Students gain hands-on experience through well-equipped labs, live projects, and industrial training programmes conducted in reputed organizations. The department encourages innovation, technical excellence, and industry-oriented learning.

The department is supported by qualified and dedicated faculty members and technical staff who focus on the academic, professional, and personal development of students, preparing them to become skilled and socially responsible technology professionals.
